“Ladies, if you have a good man at home, going to work, paying the bills, taking care of his kids…then of course you should have a clean home and meal waiting on him when he gets home and why not some lovin’ too? And I’m not just talking about once a week, or twice, or three times, get me? Yes it takes more than that to maintain a relationship/marriage but have some of the basics DOWN. I don’t want to hear about what HE needs to be doing, thats our problem now, always thinking about what someone else needs to be doing instead of stepping our own game up. Get on it.”

Every now and again, I really love my Facebook posts! lol. I know I feel so sexy after this beauty regimen, hope you will too! ;)
“For date night Ladies (and to me er’day): After your regular shower and removing all the hair from your body neck down…1. Get an Exfoliating Shower glove or bathcloth 2. Get your favorite body wash (preferably something natural) 3. Pour it into your glove along with some coarse sea salt (very effective natural exfoliant but do not use if you have to watch salt intake for health reasons). 3. Starting at the feet & working your way up, rub your body, removing dead skin cells and refreshing your skin. Look at and appreciate every inch of your body; send love to it and thank it for working properly. (Except the vaginal area) 4. Rinse well (or repeat if you like). 5. Towel dry and rub extra virgin olive oil on entire body (except that one area ;)) starting at your feet and working your way up. Massage as you moisturize to wake up the body and get the blood flowing. Again, admire, send love to, and appreciate every part of your body. 6. Put on a sexy flowing dress, leave the undies at home. Sexiness starts in the mind. Treat YOURSELF like the sexiest woman you’ve ever seen.”
I remember reading her first book, a NY Times Bestseller, and becoming a fan of her work then anxiously awaited her second book…another NY Times Bestseller. I did the same with her third and her fourth book, each time becoming more of an admirer of the way she can turn a simple sentence into the most eloquently put sentence I have ever read. Literally, lol. When I began to develop a love for expressing myself in literary form, it was this lady’s work that I admired most and always thought how amazing it would be to speak with her, learn from her. Fast forward 4 or 5 years later…
…and I get this in the mail. It’s my contract signed by New York Times Bestselling author Karrine Steffans for the piece I did in the “Drink, F*ck, Sleep” anthology due out this Summer. Only a few other writers get to say that they have worked with and learned from a writer of her caliber, so for that, I am very grateful and still a little in shock. The broken woman reading “Confessions of a Video Vixen” would’ve never thought in a few years that she’d be conferencing weekly with the person’s whose life she was reading about and about to see her work in print with other talented writers.
I said all of that to say this, if you have a dream/aspiration/goal/thought, never dismiss it as unattainable. Life has a way of taking you to some amazing places once you really allow yourself to really “go for the ride”. You just literally NEVER KNOW…
